WE Grieve our way
Supporting young lives through grief
A collaboration between Timisha Wilson, founder of Wilson Family Services and Jonicia Shelton, founder of Talks With June.
“YOUR CERTIFIED ACCESS TO: A VERY MINDFUL, VERY THERAPEUTIC CULTURALLY-SPECIFIC GRIEF SUPPORT PROGRAM.”
You are not alone in your grief journey. We see you, we hear you, we care for you.
At We Grieve Our Way, we provide a safe and compassionate space for school age youth who are experiencing loss to learn healthy ways to process their feelings, and cope with their emotions. Whether you've lost someone close to you, are going through tough changes, or want to help a friend who's hurting, we've got you. We're here to lift you up, give you the tools to cope, and connect you with others who get what you're going through. Your feelings are important and they matter!

What is GRief?
Grief is experiencing the loss of love and learning to live without its physical presence. Grief can manifest itself in many ways. It can make us feel sick, make us feel tired, make us angry, make us sad…grief comes with so many feelings! All the feelings we felt when we had the person or “the thing” and maybe you had it figured out, but now you have to navigate through a whole new way to live… without.
It can be so hard! But we are here for you.
Gun violence has hit our community hard, and we get that it affects you in ways others might not understand. We've been there, working with kids and adults, and we realized something big was missing: grief support that truly speaks to us, our experiences, and our culture.
